Gian Carlo was a blessing, but having someone to play with as he grew up meant trying for another child. And so it was that Gilbert and I were blessed with another son, Gilbert Mateo Gudino who was born on July 12, 2004.Mateo, as he is called, was quite the opposite of his older brother. He was a bit more challenging to care for, especially when it came to breastfeeding because of his temperment. It was also difficult because Gian Carlo was such a good baby that we thought it would be the same with Mateo. But now that Mateo is 3 years old, he has proved he is just as lovable and sweet as Gian Carlo, and smart too. He has a different way of learning, but understands and speaks well for his age.
Gilbert and I were content with our little brood of boys and thought that two boys were perfect for our Gudino family. But to our surprise, our family was still growing and a new baby was in our immediate future.
