How Rocco Spent His Summer

Summer for Rocco was eventful to say the least...

He spends his days with Grandma, Lola, and Gian Carlo, sometimes Uncle Rudy comes to visit too, while Mateo goes to school. The first part of summer, Auntie Daisy, Uncle Joey, and Uncle Rene came to visit. He was entertained most days and loved their company. Auntie Daisy would sing to him and his eyes would widen with delight. Uncle Joey played with Rocco too. He got to know his nephews a bit more. He took Gian Carlo a few times to run errands, which I'm sure helped Grandma out. Uncle Rene also played with him and took the boys to the park a few times. Most days though Rocco does his usual business - he eats, sleeps, poops, talks, and screams for attention. When he's lucky, Grandma and Lola take him to church.

When Gil and I come home, it's pretty much the same routine, only difference is he gets to play with me and sings nursey rhymes with me. His favorite is "Itsy Bitsy Spider". He has Gilbert's laugh; and he'll only laugh when it's really funny. He doesn't giggle, but he will let out a scream.

Grandpa bought Rocco a playpen so Rocco could play with toys and crawl around. He's able to pull himself up, and is determined to learn to crawl. He does most of his playtime in the playpen.

During his latest doctor's visit, he only gained one pound from the last visit, but he stretched out a bit. He's still a big boy, but he's slowing down according to the doctor.

We're hoping to continue to hear good news of his development. We're very fortunate that he is healthy and growing well.
